Mom Gallahan's quilt turned out to be one of my favorites. I found these great yellow and gray coordinating fabrics and then decided that I really needed something else to pop on this quilt, and the pink turned out awesome. Each strip is a "braided" pattern, which sounds really hard but isn't bad to do. This was free-motion quilted with a meadering leaf pattern. Mom Gallahan was very excited about this present, she told me that she'd never had a homemade quilt of her own before.
